"My camera is a scalpel, dissecting the fragile relationship between individual existence and the collective world."
If Dandelion Lin were a plant, he would be a dandelion rooted in the cracks of stone. Born in a village in southern China and trained in oil painting at the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts, he moved from solitary brushstrokes on canvas to collaborative brushwork on screen — then crossed the ocean, took root again through cultural upheaval, and kept one question with him: have I made this world more tender, more merciful, more peaceful?
