如果要用一種植物形容林思新，那會是生長在岩石縫隙裡的蒲公英。生於中國南方山村，畢業於湖北美術學院油畫系，從架上繪畫走向與劇組一起在銀幕上「繪畫」；後赴美深造，在文化的斷層裡重新扎根、發芽。飄零前半生，他確信電影工作者身上擔著一份責任——用自己的力量，讓這個世界更加慈悲與寧靜。
